It was created to be faster than other laptops at the time, and it was made and to also have a longer battery life. It is a smaller laptop and made that way for easy transportation.
The Dell Vostro 1220 was first created in 2009 but then years later discontinued due to technology being upgraded. Since the Dell Vostro 1220 is no longer in production, the starting price is around $747. The Dell Vostro 1220 continued to the 1320 to the 1520 to the 1720 and on until 2013 when Dell announced that they would discontinue all of the Vostro laptops. This was said to be due to less demand in the business for the laptops and for an upgrade in technology.
