Alisha is correct. Your iPhone has 3 microphones, one at the bottom for phone calls NOT ON speakerphone, one inside of the front earpiece speaker mesh for calls when USING speakerphone, and one on the rear of the phone near the camera for audio for videos, etc. If you people can’t hear you but you can hear them, it is one of these 3 microphones most likely. Do a process of elimination essentially by calling someone on speakerphone and see if that fixes the problem. Then taking a video. Then taking a voice memo. This would test all the mics. The video will use the back microphone. The voice memo will use the bottom mic same as the NON Speakerphone calls, and finally the SPEAKERPHONE call will test the 3 and final mic in the earpiece speaker. use these diagnostic elimination steps to determine with which microphone the problem lays. Hey, @donrimmer Check to make sure that rotation lock isn’t engaged. Rotation lock setting is accessible through Control Center which you can access by swiping down from the right top corner of your screen. The icon for rotation lock looks like a clockwise pointing circular arrow around a lock. If you don’t see it you may have to add the option of Rotation Lock to your control center. This process is differs slightly depending on whether or not you are running iOS 18. If you are running 18, simply open Control Center, click and hold in any blank area on the screen (not occupied by a button) and then it will say “add control”. Click this and search for Rotation Lock”. If you are running iOS 17 or lower, simply head into Settings > Control Center > scroll down and find the Rotation Lock option and click the green plus to the left of it. It will now appear in Control Center and you should be able to turn it off. Keep me posted, Cheers! -m

Hola, Luca, Sorry to hear that you don't have any touch after replacing your iPhone XS display assembly. It is important to recognize that, despite the display being one unit, it is actually made up of two componets. 1; the OLED display planel reponsible for the image. 2; the digitizer, which is built into the glass. The digitizer is what detects the electricity of your finger and is responsible for the touch capabilities of the screen. The digitizer has its own connnector that you disconnected and reconnected upon the replacement of the display assemply. Perhaps dissasemble the phone once again and try re-seating the digitizer cables on the logic board. Simply disconect them and reconnect them to insure a good connection. Try creating an external USB installer for MacOSX Snow Leopard. Some instructions and Download link on how to create the bootable installer (you will need a second functioning Mac): https://apple.stackexchange.com/question...-to-create-a-bootable-os-x-snow-leopard-usb-drive Once the USB installer is created, plug it into your broken white Macbook. Boot the computer on while holding the Option key. Select the USB bootable installer and let the computer start up. Eventually you will get to the MacOSX Recovery screen. Did your computer experience any sort of liquid damage? Also, once your computer is booted up does the power button work at all? Hey, Steve! I own this computer and noticed a few months back that the fans were running an abnormal amount even when the computer was at idle. My first thought was that there must be dust blocking some of the air vents thus preventing proper cooling. There is a big vent behind the iMac’s stand but I found that that there was almost no dust present. I cleaned it out anyway and it made no difference with the fans. It was a couple weeks later that I found out that there is a thin strip of 13 air vents at the very bottom of the display. These vents are responsible for the air intake and cooling where as the vent on the back is for air out. The vents on the bottom of my machine were packed with dust and once I cleaned them out with an anti- static brush (or a trusty old toothbrush) my Mac’s fans returned to their normal RPM! Hi, izzywheatley! The screws at the bottom of this generation iPhone (and all iPhones these days) are a pair of Pentalobe P2 screws. I would agree that these are definitely two small to drill out without risking damaging other internal components. I found another iFixit forum about a similar situation on an iPhone 6 which uses the same screws as your phone.  How can I remove a striped pentalobe screw? A user named Mayer posted this link on that forum to a video that might be helpful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXGlQdAW... In my experience the other thing that can sometimes help is to get a strong small magnet and attempt to pull the screw out the tiniest bit then get your fingernail between the head of the screw and the phone. If you can manage that try spinning the screw any way you can (potentially like demonstrated in the video by using a flat head screw driver) while levering up on the screw.
