Background
Sony first announced the PS5 Pro on September 10, 2024. Its main upgrades are the more powerful GPU that allows for more advanced ray tracing and the introduction of the AI-driven upscaling technology, PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR), that allows for sharper graphics using AI-enhanced resolution. The storage capacity has been expanded to 2TB, doubling that of the standard PS5’s SSD.
