I am a former professional auto mechanic (Porsche and numerous foreign marques). I am currently a semi-retired computer programmer. My hobbies include motorcycles both riding and wrenching. Home automation. I like to pay it forward to the gear-head community what little I know. Having said that... I will not respond to rhetorical questions or blatant attempts to troll against my contributions. I periodically write articles on a blog about my projects. You may find those here: Timbocephus

Antwoord op "How can I enforce the google OS to receive and update the new update"I don’t believe that is possible as Google has stopped building the updates you want. All chromebooks have an expiration date after which they stop providing support. Class action lawsuit anyone? Ifixit just published a blog post today that talks about this very topic and the fact that a couple of much newer chromebooks have just been announced to have a much longer support period than has been customary up to now. Find that article here.
Antwoord op "Problem with cables to capture device"The black DIN plug is S-video in to the converter device. Your camcorder probably doesn’t support that. All you need is the yellow composite video cable and one of the two audio channels. The old video camcorders typically only have mono audio so the red or white will work for the audio transfer. You just have to make sure your software is recording on the appropriate channel that you connected to on your converter device. The resolution will be pretty terrible but hey it isn’t high def is it?
Antwoord op "New Icemaker is not working"Sounds like your problem is electrically based. Here is a link to some troubleshooting tips for icemakers You will need (1) a short piece of insulated wiring to activate the icemaker motor test and (2) a multimeter for the other tests. These tests require the 110 current to be on so be careful with these live test points under the controller cover.
Antwoord op "find and replace the water filter for the ice maker?"I don’t believe there is a filter on this model after searching “LFHT1831QF5”. Of course you can always add one in your water line in at the back of the unit if you wish but my experience is if you are getting gunk in your ice you have a worn out mold/heater lining that has delaminated it’s anti stick coating and it is time for a new mold or complete icemaker. You can get the complete icemaker for about the same price as the mold/tray unit. This appears to be a rigged system to try and sell more complete ice makers by the manufacturers. Also more needless waste into landfills.
Antwoord op "I need my scanner fixed a slide got jammed inside"Did you look at this guide? Replace screen light guide That guide seems to show how to disassemble the slide path so it could be followed to extract a stuck slide I expect.
Antwoord op "Ice Maker not working."This video may help you… repair-your-ice-maker …or not but you will be a bit better informed as to what the problem is at the very least. Also this video may prove useful as well… Ice Maker Repair.
Antwoord op "Why am I backfiring"I suspect your carburetor float valve is sticking. Ethanol gas is hygroscopic and causes severe corrosion as a result when it sits for periods longer than a month or two.
Antwoord op "Mercedes-Benz cooling system temperature"Coolant thermostat failure or perhaps someone has removed it. It is easy to remove and observe thermostat behavior in a pan of heated water on a cooking surface. These devices can come apart eventually due to corrosion and normal wear.
Antwoord op "Does the iPod do lossless audio formats?"From what I have read the only lossless format iPod supports is apple’s own ALAC. There are free open source software audio converters that can transfer to ALAC format. One such is: KABUU Disclaimer: I have not used this software and it may or may not meet your needs.
Antwoord op "USB bluetooth dongle fell part, can I salvage it?"If it was mine and it still works when plugged in… I would just put some shrink wrap tubing over the IC component end and continue to use as is without all the flimsy pieces that fell off. You might have to trim a small piece of metal of the same gauge as the original metal part that came off and super glue it to the non-contact side of the circuit board to get an effective connection too! Pretty trivial to do though. Kinda like the infrared capture device I bought a few years ago when I was wanting to unify the three or four IR remotes associated with my AV equipment. This device came with just a naked circuit board and a female USB mini-a connector on the board… In the picture…. Left top item IR Adapter LEFT bottom USB mini-a to std USB-A adapter. Also quite a few modern USB-A dongles forgo the silly metal bits altogether. Just don’t apply too much weight/pressure or you will be buying another device (applies to the ones with the metal rims too like yours as you have found out apparently! Right item...
