I have a ps4 model CUH-2215B and all the orange screws were replaced with molded plastic pins. They don’t come out. I could rip the heads off with pliers or something, but idk how it would go back together.

My motherboard was missing these two screws. they were just not there at all.

Why is one silver and one black? I keep thinking they are different and try to keep track of where they go.

I don’t even know how you would get the glass off of the LCD. They are glued together pretty well.

This is just a quick fun teardown. Its just to see what it looks like inside. The real guides that your talking about take a lot longer to make and you can see them in the guide section now that they are completed.

I discovered that there is enough clearance to slide the Game Cartridge Slot assembly out without removing the motherboard. Just remove the two connectors going to the Cartridge Slot assembly and take out the 3 screws holding it down. There were two screws that look like they are holding the assembly down, but they are only holes through the assembly and don’t actually hold it down. At least on the Pokemon version, New 3DS XL that I had.

Does anybody know if there is actually any difference between the CDMA and GSM screens? I got a galaxy s6 edge with a broken screen, and the back said verizon, but when I opened it up, the charging port flex cable said, SM-G925A, which is the AT&T version right? I have a working screen I took off of a working verizon phone, but it doesn’t work on the ATT phone. I’m not sure if its that the motherboard is damaged, or if the Verizon screen won’t work on the AT&T phone.

I didn’t need to take the left antenna and speaker out. If you just get the wire and tape out of the way so you can unplug the speaker flex cables and take out the lightning connector, then you should still be able to get the logic board out. the left speaker isn’t in the way at all.

All that copper/tin foil, whatever it is, stayed glued to the case and tore off the screen. I hope it isn’t important. What is it for anyways?

only take out the screen for a motherboard removal? Are you using the wrong guide or was this guide used for two different repairs?
