Sony Bravia Sound Issues with Xbox one
I have a 55” Sony Bravia TV with an Xbox One connected to it. Both units are 3 or 4 years old. Over the last month or so I have started having sound issues. When I turn on the tv about half the time I get very loud static. I turn the volume down all the way and that usually “fixes” it. Sometimes it does not. When I switch from cable to the Xbox the sound issue is corrected. Occasionally - while watching TV - the sound will go from normal - to all static. I don’t believe this is a setup issue as the tv/xbox have been working well for years. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

Update (09/06/2018)
It’s a Sony KDL-55EX500. The cable box and Xbox are all connected via HDMI. The cable box is connected to the Xbox and the Xbox is connected to the tv. I don’t think it’s a speaker issue as they sound fine - then go to full on static - and back to normal usually after turning the volume all the way down and sometimes I have to switch over to the Xbox and back to the tv. I don’t see a headphone jack. Thanks!

Hi @zjdeere ,
What is the model number of the TV?
Does the TV (you don't state the model number) have an headphone socket that you can connect to, to check whether the problem is with the TV speakers or audio system?
How are the cable box and the Xbox connected to the TV, HDMI, Co-ax, AV etc?
