So, who am I and why am I here? I consider myself just a regular Joe. I am old enough to know better but still believe in trying to save the world and humanity. One device at a time. I love to mentor and to help others, I am into re-purposing and trying to repair anything.
I come from a time and a place where there was never enough money to just replace things or to just go and buy new stuff. Fixing things was not a passion but a necessity. 50 years of fixing, building and yes, breaking things as well, has taught me a lot. During my lifetime I've learned that the only thing that truly matters is how we get along with others; to never prematurely judge people. I do judge people by their actions and not by some preconceived notion. If you are being kind and compassionate toward our environment (people, planet, animal, etc.) you are okay in my book.
I have learned a lot and continue to study and learn new things daily. This enables me to provide some answer on this forum. It enables me to help someone that needs it and it helps to keep things going. All too often we discard stuff just because it is broken and we do not know how to fix it. This puts an incredible strain on our environment and it makes others rich. We all should support organizations like https://repair.org/stand-up/ to fight for our right to repair. It’ll keep our hard earned money in our pockets instead of further feeding the Profit-before-People (Planet) machinery.
“We all want to help one another. Human beings are like that. We want to live by each other's happiness, not by each other's misery. We don't want to hate and despise one another. In this world there is room for everyone, and the good earth is rich and can provide for everyone. “ (Charlie Chaplin in “The Great Dictator”) Totally awesome expression thereof shown here
Ten years on iFixit is a long time. Time to pick up the pieces, embrace the new normal and continue to Fix whatever needs fixing.

not charging after battery replacementJust replaced my old battery with the one I purchased from you. Great and easy fix, loved your instructions. But here is...
Antwoord op "Can I Interchange the Engine"@pamelajstevens The engine from the Axiom will be a 6VE1.This model engine was also used in the Troopers. Both engines have the same intake, exhaust, and block with the difference being the stroke of the cylinders. So yes, it should work in your Trooper and fit your transmission as well. This is not to say that this will be a simple swap since you could still be dealing with wiring, sensors, and computer issues. Bottom line, possible yes, easy no.
Antwoord op "screen comes when operating but it’s gone whitish"@ladj this could be screen issue (unlikely since it shows the menu) or a mainboard/tcon board issue. Try a different video input, not your HDMI port. Let us know if that makes a difference. Right now I favor the main board as the culprit but we need to get more details first.
Antwoord op "Why do these thin white lines appear on screen?"@juanes212 this could be a badly shielded cable picking up EM scatter. If you disconnect all input cables and those lines still pop in and out you want to take a good look at the shielding inside your TV.
Antwoord op "no sound - my on off switch blinks dimly only"andy.milot without seeing the device (main/power board etc. it is hard to determine what is going on. If it has worked for your before but started recently with the issues then I would start off by replacing the battery. Low power can/will prevent it from coming on and working properly. If that does not resolve you will have to disassemble it and check the power board. Harman Kardon Onyx Studio 2 Battery Replacement
Antwoord op "Kindle Basic 2 (2016) (SN Prefix G000K9) broken component repair"@biswassudipta05 hard to see and hard to determine without a schematic. It appears to be a capacitor. If you do know how to solder small components like the one you popped off, then yes you can resolder it. If you do not have any experience with it, practice on a separate board first or let somebody with some more experience solder it for you.
Antwoord op "Low temp power error after replacing charging port and wireless pad"Peter Rizzuto you want to check one of the common errors on this. It could be caused by a resistor on the NFC Flex. See what needs to be checked to determine that this is/is not the problem on this site https://www.microsoldering.com/samsung-galaxy-note-10-note-10-plus-temperature-too-low-repair/
Antwoord op "Hello, I was wandering if you could get spare parts for a Kenwood KR-V"davidfort1967 does not look like any parts for your model are available on iFixit. iFixit really does not deal with spare parts of that nature. Your best bet would most likely be places like ebay etc. or you could consider creating a replacement out of plexiglass etc.
Antwoord op "LG TV switches off then on again, but wierd test have been made..."@chamann could be an issue with the mainboard since this seems to happen in the higher resolutions. Check the larger IC‘s on the main board for anything obvious like loose heatsinks etc. the other thing you want to check is your firmware version. Go through your settings and see which version your TV has and then check to see if there is an upgrade available from LG.
Antwoord op "LG TV - Horizontal Static Lines, Slow Startup, occasional green screen"@davidj_daniel horizontal lines like you describe are most commonly caused by a bad LCD driver board. That board is part of your screen and cannot be replaced. Post some good pictures of what your screen shows as well as what your boards look like etc. that way we can see what you see and we may identify some other issues. Adding images to an existing question
Antwoord op "screen won't turn on, but phone seems to be on"Kirstin Kyle since it seems to behave properly on startup I’d suggest that you try a hard reset first and see if that resets the video etc. If that does not work you should consider a new display Motorola Moto Z Play Vervanging van het scherm
