Hoor je een sissend geluid uit je SodaStream Source komen? Lekt de carbonatiebuis gas terwijl het apparaat niet in gebruik is? Lekt je carbonatiefles? Blijft er gas ontsnappen nadat de carbonatie voltooid is? SodaStream Sources zijn gevoelig voor een reeks problemen waardoor ze gas kunnen lekken; de meeste hiervan zijn eenvoudig op te lossen. Controleer de volgende mogelijke oorzaken om het probleem te identificeren en op te lossen.

Carbonatiecilinder zit los
Als de carbonatiecilinder van de SodaStream Source niet stevig vastzit, kun je gas (kooldioxide) horen ontsnappen uit de carbonatiefles of de carbonatiebuis. Gaslekkage kan worden veroorzaakt door een versleten sluitring of door te veel sluitringen. Dit probleem kan ook optreden als de carbonatiefles niet volledig is vastgedraaid. Zorg ervoor dat de carbonatiefles stevig vastzit voordat je het apparaat gebruikt.
- Opmerking: Recente carbonatieflessen zijn teruggeroepen vanwege het risico op barsten onder druk. Als dit probleem met ontsnappend gas optreedt en je fles is aangeschaft tussen feb. 2016 en jan. 2017, overweeg dan om de cilinder te vervangen en te controleren of je fles deel uitmaakte van de terugroepactie.
Te veel sluitringen
Als er te veel sluitringen in het carbonatie-aansluitgebied zitten, kan de carbonatiefles van de SodaStream niet op zijn plaats blijven. Als de SodaStream Source de carbonatiefles niet detecteert, zal het systeem niet activeren of reageren. Controleer het carbonatie-aansluitgebied van je SodaStream met een pincet. Trek de kleine zwarte rubberen ring uit het carbonatie-aansluitgebied en kijk of er een tweede rubberen ring onder de eerste zit. Als er een tweede ring is, laat die dan zitten en bewaar de extra rubberen ring voor toekomstig gebruik.
Sluitring moet worden vervangen
Als de sluitring in het carbonatie-aansluitgebied van de SodaStream Source versleten is, zal de carbonatiefles van de SodaStream verschuiven of niet stevig vastzitten wanneer deze wordt bevestigd. Als de SodaStream Source de carbonatiefles niet detecteert omdat deze niet correct is geplaatst, zal het apparaat niet reageren op de commando's van de gebruiker. Gebruik een pincet om de kleine zwarte rubberen ring uit het gebied waar de carbonatiefles aan de SodaStream wordt bevestigd te trekken om de sluitring te verwijderen en te vervangen. Vervang de oude sluitring door een nieuwe en probeer de carbonatiefles opnieuw te bevestigen. Als de carbonatiefles stevig vastzit, zou de SodaStream Source moeten reageren.
Gasbuis zit los
De SodaStream Source bevat een vijf centimeter lange witte gasbuis in het aansluitgebied. Deze buis, die in de carbonatiefles gaat, kan bij sommige modellen losraken. Je zult het kooldioxidegas voelen ontsnappen terwijl je op de hendel aan de bovenkant van het apparaat drukt om het gas af te geven. Draai de aansluitpunten van de witte buis aan zodat er geen lucht kan ontsnappen en probeer het opnieuw.
Defecte interne carbonatieluchtslang
De SodaStream Source heeft een overdrukventiel en het is normaal dat er wat gas uit dit ventiel komt. Probeer de locatie van het lekkende gas te vinden door de carbonatiefles en de carbonatieslang te controleren.
Als je de vorige oplossingen hebt geprobeerd en nog steeds gas uit de carbonatiebuis hoort lekken, gebruik dan deze SodaStream Source interne carbonatieluchtslang vervangingsgids om de interne carbonatieluchtslang van het apparaat te vervangen. Voor deze oplossing moet de SodaStream Source uit elkaar worden gehaald.

Another option is to just return it. That is what I am doing, because mine did not last 8 months

My soda stream source model is leaking gas through the actual On/Off Valve and a small amount of CO2 is coming out of the injector when it’s off. I believe it is due to debris/sheddings from the nylon threaded valve housing(subassembly) that accepts the bottle. I have disassembled the entire unit and discovered nylon threaded shavings around this contact area. and the seal up inside where the bottle makes its contact. This is the entire On/Off valve assembly for the unit. I need to try to find O-rings for this subassembly. I also noticed that the CO2 injector nozzle was letting out LESS gas than usual, on a full bottle. So I also believe debris made its way into the nozzle itself. I have attempted to blow that potential clog out. But I still have this small leaking valve issue. It could be a damaged O-ring in the valve. Does anyone know where to get the actual On/Off valve O-rings and seals for this subassembly? I'll assume, probably not. I will try to find exact fit/sized O-rings from industrial suppliers.

Turns out it was actually my bottle valve itself that was leaking. The plunger in the bottle wasn’t re-seating itself perfectly back in to seal the gas and was leaking out ever so slightly. Everyone might want to check that once and a while by doing either a bubble test on the bottle itself or a bubble test on the injector nozzle on a regular basis. That’s what I’m going to be doing from now on. The slightest amount of debris, metal, dirt, or nylon in any of the valve seats of this device will cause leakage. I can’t believe they made all the valves/bodies/housings out of nylon/plastics. Metal/aluminum (the bottle) does not play well with plastic threads.

I kind of also think you mean the bottle that holds the water (to be carbonated) You can still make the SodaStream discharge CO2, even without the carbonation water bottle attached. I guess you mean if the gasket seal/washer up in the threaded housing (on the back) where the “CO2 cylinder” attaches, is more than just the one gasket that there is supposed to be, then, the CO2 cylinder valve plunger is too far away from the activation pin in said housing, and won’t make contact with said CO2 cylinder valve-plunger/seal, causing no gas to be released.
