Hi Reece, The first option would be to try and replace the optical drive. Remember you must match the model number AND transfer the daughter board. There's an iFixit guide and on here: PlayStation 4 Optical Drive The eject button shows only minor damage, does it work if you power up the console and press it with your finger? The housing could be seated incorrectly causing the contact point not to reach the button. You could also attempt returning to the shop to see if they can be any more help towards what went wrong in the original repair. Best of luck, Sam

Best option at this stage is to turn the phone off and use the sim pin that came with it (or something equally small, like an earring) and clean out as much as possible. Make sure the headphone port and the lightning port are as clean as possible. If you have fine tweezers, a small amount of cotton wool on the end of them could also help. If the above is unsuccessful you will need to have the headphone jack ribbon cable replaced.

Buy yourself a good quality screwdriver - it's well worth the investment. Sometimes a Phillips 00 screwdriver is better, as long as you are careful. Can you check the heads of the screws to insure that they are not stripped? Ie you cannot make out the 'add' symbol on them

Unfortunately there is no way to test the phone fully, however plugging it into iTunes should at least establish whether it is dead or not. Visit a local repair shop and ask them if they could try a screen on it for you to test if it still works, most decent repair shops should be willing to help out.

Hi Ben, This is most likely a faulty battery, swap it out for another one like the ones shown here on the iFixit store. A good quality, 'known good' battery will help troubleshoot first. If this does not solve it, check for pry damage around the battery connector and report back. It could be u2 ic but I think it's unlikely this is the case. Software side of things I believe is unlikely. Sure, you could try a DFU restore but I can't see this having any effect, definetely sounds like a hardware issues to me. Good luck!

As with most components, the home buttons are different, the 5S Touch ID will not fit on the iPhone 6 screen. With a broken Touch ID sensor you will never gain Touch ID functions again. Phones only become bricked during a software update if the original Touch ID scanner is not in the phone. I've not done a screen replacement on newest software and tried a restore, but have had many customers update and no one has come back with any problems! Hope this helps

Can you provide the history of the phone? Has it had a screen replacement? Often the new screen can 'ghost' which appears to touch wherever you want. It's also worth checking the LCD flex on the screen if so, as this should have a piece of tape over 3 exposed solder joints.

The only way to get past the activation screen is by phoning Applecare. Proof of identity and ownership of the device is required. It's worth nothing that the iPad has been restored if it's at the activation screen, so will contain no data
