With regards to the lid angle sensor. My T2 from the fixit Manta driver kit doesn't fit and there is not a T1 in the kit. I had to abandon the repair :(
Read the comments section at the bottom of the article before proceeding with the repair. It is unnecessary to remove the logic board. I actually removed the 45mm plastic bar to enable the cables to slip out then in. It is only there to frustrate repairers!
Not a huge jump in difficulty from the iPhone 13Pro Max. There is a certain type of bastardry by Apple engineers to put independent repairers out of business. 10's of thousands of us to be precise. The industrial chemists must be working overtime to find the most powerful adhesives that defy removal without destruction. The speaker deflector in this phone and the camera microphone on the 14 back screen to wit. I love Apple products but curse the ethics of non repairability employed by the company.
I've been having the same issue with the microphone braket. It won't budge. I've weighted it down and put some T700 glue around it to hold it in place. Hopefully that will work. It is truly an act of bastardry for Apple to employ such tactics to prevent proper repair.
My logic board has 9 screws. Each fan has 3 plus the other three in the blowup. Total waste of time and effort to remove the logic board when it can be tilted up to remove the battery. As stated, no need to remove the trackpad either.
F#%K Apple for making this a difficult job when the batteries were just screwed in before. Absolutely no need for such difficult glue and hiding cables apart from sheer bastardry!
insert plastic sliver to disconnect the battery. Most important step not written down!
I have done hundreds of battery replacements in iPhones and since the iPhone 7, these command strips are designed NOT to work. My method now is to run isopropyl down behind the battery from the top, wait for several minutes and then gently prise the battery up from the top edge using a stiff but thin piece of plastic. Don't bent the battery and add more iso as it comes up. It very easily releases if you are patient. This method doesn't require removing the speaker and taptic engine.
It is not necessary to remove the logic board. remove the three standoff screws and the simcard holder and push back the sim ejector pin and you can lift the logic board up about 7mm. with isopropyl to loosen the adhesive, slide a spudger under the old charge port cable you can easily slide it out. Makes the job a lot easier and quicker.

Apparently it is non magnetic so as not to interfere with the compass. The iPhone 6 has moved tis down to the bottom near the battery connector.
