Front-Facing Camera does not Work
When attempting to use the front-facing camera, an error message pops up or the app will not switch to the front camera.
Phone Needs to be Restarted
Sometimes, a simple restart may fix your camera. To restart your phone, hold down the power button located on the right side of the phone until a window pops up on your screen. Then, press “Power Off." Turn your phone back on and check to see if the camera now works.
Too Many Background Applications Running
You may need to close any unused background applications for the camera to work again. Do this by clicking on the “Apps” icon from the home screen, and then click on the “Settings” icon. In the selection menu, select “Apps," and at the top of this screen, select “Running." At the bottom of this window, tap “Close All” and confirm.
Conflicting Third Party Applications
Third-party applications that use the camera, such as “Nova Launcher,” may conflict with your camera. To uninstall these apps, click on the “Apps” icon, navigate to the “Settings” icon, and tap on it. Next, tap on “Manage Applications” and click on the app you wish to uninstall. When prompted, tap “OK” and confirm your selection.
Cache Partition Needs Clearing
Your phone's cache partition temporarily stores data. This may become cluttered and result in slow application performance or other application issues. To wipe the cache partition, first, power off your device. Then, hold down the volume down button and press and release the power button. A new interface should pop up. Navigate through this interface with the volume up and volume down buttons. Navigate down to “Recovery Mode” and use the power button to select it. After selecting, the Android logo will appear, and the device will begin wiping the cache partition. After the wiping is complete, hold down the volume down button and press and release the power button. The previous interface should pop up. Navigate down to “Reboot System Now." Your cache partition should now be cleared.
Broken Front-Facing Camera
If the suggestions listed above do not work, you can replace the physical camera by following the front-facing camera replacement guide.
Rear-Facing Camera does not Work

Fast Draining Battery
The battery seems to drain quickly and not hold the charge.
Multiple Background Applications Running
To save the battery life, you may need to close any unused background applications. To do this, click on the “Apps” icon from the home screen and then click on the “Settings” icon. In the selection menu, select “Apps." At the top of this screen, select “Running." At the bottom of this window, tap “Close All” and confirm.
To see what applications are using the most battery life, tap the "Apps" icon, then tap "Settings." Scroll down and select "Battery." You will see the current battery life and the battery usage history.
Using Battery-Consuming Features
Certain features can cause your phone to eat up the battery life. Using GPS, Bluetooth, and Wi-Fi can contribute to a low battery. Try turning off or reducing the use of these features to save the battery life.
A high screen brightness also contributes to low battery. To lower the screen brightness, click on the “Apps” icon and then click on the “Settings” icon. Next, select "Display" and then "Brightness Level." Move the slider with your finger to lower the brightness.
Faulty Battery
If you have tried all of these suggestions and the battery still does not hold a charge, you may need to replace the battery. To replace the battery, use the battery replacement guide.
Low Sound During a Call
While talking on the phone, the sound is very low or not working at all.
Volume Setting is Low
Your volume setting may be too low or turned off. Turn up the volume by pressing the volume adjustment button on the side of the phone during a call.
Malfunctioning Earpiece Speaker

If you have a Droid Turbo 2 and the front facing camera isn't working go to your settings and check your display setting and make sure it's on the normal setting that it's not on a higher setting for larger text put it back to normal and your front face camera will work and your video will work

Omg freaking genius!! It worked right after I switched it back to default for the font text and display. Thank you so much!!! I was trying to figure it out for awhile, thought maybe I messed up my system or something.

Been fighting with my camera for two weeks...changed the settings and it works perfectly again!

well I didn't change any settings, but my camera does not give me he option to switch to my front camera. Nor does any other app such as Snapchat or FB messenger. Not sure if somehow my front camera has been disabled. I don't even know where to go to disable or to enable it.

None of these tricks worked for me. My camera comes and goes as it wishes. The only thing that consistently works is the video function.
