Listen to the fan, if the laptop is louder than usual, then the fan may be running abnormally and a replacement is needed. If the fan is making no noise then it may be broken and a replacement is needed. Look at our replacement guide.
Computer is clogged with dust
The main cause is a clogged or broken CPU fan which pulls heat from the processor. To clean or repair the CPU, you can follow the fan guide below (insert link to Fan Replacement guide). Start by taking apart the laptop, cleaning out all the dust, and making sure the heat sink is nice and tight on the CPU. You should blow compressed air into the vents on your laptop, and into other openings such as the fan intake vent to help keep the air circulation and prevent dust from accumulating on internal components.
Thermal paste is dried up
First disassemble the laptop and locate the CPU. You will need some thermal paste. Squeeze out a dot of thermal paste directly onto the center of your CPU. Your dot should be a little smaller than a pea. Next, apply the thermal paste onto the CPU and spread it evenly in all directions. We recommend you use a very slight rubbing motion as you press down on the cooler. This helps to spread the paste better.
Here is a guide that will make it easier to understand.
