There is a spot on this side where a slight ridge in the iPhone frame makes the pick stick. Eventually I used two, one twisting a bit to open a path for the other. But if you're not expecting it you feel like you're going to break something.
iOpener along the bottom edge, the Anti-Clamp, and three tries about 5 minutes each worked for me. Never popped off, just needed lots of patience and 1.5 screw turns on the clamp. Bottom left corner was first, like another commenter.
The actual speaker part mates into the grill at the bottom, so align that first. Also, you will need to exert some pressure toward the bottom of the phone to get it to mate properly with the screw holes because of the springiness of the speaker gasket.
Note Step 17 about being careful about the cables on the left edge!
I just got my Fix Kit and it includes the seals. Not sure if a "part only" version would, though.
I submitted an edit adding that the corners are another good place to start (it's how I just opened mine with no trouble) and moved the ribbon cable warning up to make sure people see it.
It took a few tries to get this done -- with a broken screen the packing tape interferes with the suction cup hold. I eventually had to resort to a classic iSclack. Bear in mind that you don't need much of an initial opening, just enough to get a pick in. After a couple of minutes of the pick sitting there the surrounding adhesive will stretch and you'll be able to get two in for Step 9.
Note that the grounding connector on the Taptic Engine's left side goes under the fixed contact, you'll need to remember than when reassembling.
There is another SATA connector on the back side of the logic board for an SSD.
