I have tried to solder it back together but I am not sure if I have done it right can solder arc between it self as there is a small gap in the solder I did manage to turn it back on for a few seconds then it died then when I tried again there was a spark from the power jack

It looks like these are "cold" solder joints, which means the connection between the pad and the pins are not good, which would explain the sparking. Try to touch your soldering iron to the pin and the pad and the same time to heat up both and then apply solder so it covers the pin and the pad for a flawless connection.

@andrewlang00 post some pictures of the jack and teh repair etc. with your question. Let's see if there was a solder bridge or similar that may have caused this. Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag

It was fixed to the board better when I first tested it but taking it in and out has loosened the solder
