Hi @notursauce It is fixable if you have soldering equipment. You would need to open up the body of the USB stick to release the circuitboard and then you could solder a new usb head or the old one back to be able to save your data. Hope it helps!

Hi @rajiv8047 The left (horizontal) resistor is a 0 Ohm resistor and the on the right it is a 10K Ohm resistor. Both 201 size.

Hi @francescof40841 There is some sort of burn mark at the circled area. I would peel off the protective silicone and see what component is underneath it of even on the other side of the board. I suspect that something overheated there.

Hi @mohamed49237 You can purchase jack remover tools on Amazon or eBay for less than £10 or $12 (depending on the currency) https://amzn.eu/d/6mkYPfK They are easy to use and will get the job done. The other solution would be to fully take your controller apart and push it out of the jack housing once exposed.

Hi @applerepairshop Looking at your images, I am not very sure that the inductor is where the heat is coming from as they very rarely go bad. You can test it to see if it shows a high resistance. It should only be around 0.019 Ohms when you measure across it. I am more inclined to say that the surrounding mosfets or caps have gone bad as they handle the main power rail coming in form the charger. I would also check if the rails on the other side of the board on U7000 as that may be where the heat is coming from. That chip is responsible for the power management. This the that inductor you marked on the picture.

Hi @roger30093 According to the service manual of the TV, 6 flashes indication a 17 Volt rail missing on the G1 (power supply board). This Board is responsible for creating all the necessary power rails for your TV. It is quite difficult to pinpoint your problem as it could be any component on that 17V rail. Since it is the main power circuit, be very careful if you attempt to disassemble and test it yourself as the main capacitors could hold a charge for quite sometime and touching them while they are charged could lead to serious electrocution!

Hi @jayshiz I would apply flux to the solder joints and use low melt solder to mix with the existing (probably lead free) solder. It will make it easier to reflow them with a heat gun or a soldering iron. Once you managed to get it out, clean the holes with solder wick and you'll have no problem installing the new stick.
