If you tried to boot into "safe mode" and it still doesnt help the only other option I could think of would be a "factory data wipe" unfortunately everything will be erased from the phone and the OS will be reverted OOBE (out of box experience). Hope it doesnt come to that, let us know if that doesnt work either.
Meer informatieSometimes it is possible to use fine tweezers to bend the damaged pin back in place but not usually. The plastic frame tends to also be damaged and if that is so the ribbon cable may not snap in properly. If you cant bend the pin back then full replacement of the connector is required. If you have a steady hand and the money to acquire the needed equipment it can be done with fair ease. This would most likely count as a micro-solder repair so if you are not experienced in soldering I would not recommend trying this yourself. I have known some to do it with only a heat gun but that carrie's significant risk. I use a microscope and hot air rework station myself when this kind of problem arises.
Meer informatieI have fixed many problems like this. Most of the time I see that the anti dust mesh screen covering the speaker is clogged and caked with ear wax, makeup, skin oil, etc. For a thorough fix removing the screen and holding the mesh screen close to a light source should have abundant light. If light is barely visible, washing with alcohol and blowing from the inside out with compressed air seems to be the best fix. If concerned about opening the device then I would recommend alcohol and a fine brush similar to a clean short haired makeup brush seems to be effective although not as long term of a fix, it seems to do the trick for awhile.
Meer informatieWell, on most devices, no power is a battery or charging port problem. Although I have seen a few cases where a damaged lcd would somehow prevent the phone from actually turning on with Samsung devices. I would start with the charging port, inspect it, if anything is wrong with it physically that could be your problem. If not then I would consider the battery if was acting strange in any way before it went out that could be your issue. Both port and battery are fine it could likely be the lcd or possibly even a motherboard problem.
Meer informatieIt is definitely possible although rather difficult for even a very good technician if they don’t have the right equipment. But there is absolutely no need to change the whole body unless it is too damaged to put an unbroken screen or glass on without risking damage to the new one but I think your phones body looks almost perfect. I, personally, would prefer to just change the whole LCD assembly but that will certainly drive up the cost. I do not own ALL of the equipment to replace the glass alone but I have done it at the customer request multiple times and usually don’t charge more that like $100-$130 USD but because I don’t have all the equipment there’s a chance the LCD could be damaged in the process and I warn them ahead of time. If they are ok with the risk and chance of damaging the LCD I give it a shot.
Meer informatieThat’s the ribbon cable that connects the home button/thumbprint scanner to the top of the logic board. You can buy another LCD backplate with the cable or you could just buy the cable and replace it on the plate itself.
Meer informatieYes the dust cover can get clogged with skin oils and dust that can turn into a putty like paste and seal the metal mesh screen blocking the the airflow and the vibrations for the sound making it sound muffled. Great idea on how to fix it from Kim S. But I work with a lot of others peoples phones that go through some fairly nasty things and if putting your mouth on it is not an option then I would suggest alcohol and a suction cup which works for me. Although sometimes I have seen other shops or individual people attempting a screen repair which folded the rubber top speaker gasket in front of the top speaker muffling the sound as described. If absolutely necessary ( like the time a customer spilled paint on their phone) you can change the dust cover atteched to the screen quite easily and the cost only a few cents a piece on amazon or eBay.

Meer informatieBecause you asked, “Does the screen need to be physically attached to the base in order for the touch to operate correctly?“ I just assume you haven’t tried operating it without it attached to the base. You should try that and see if it operates properly because as oldtutkey03 said it doesn’t have to be attached as long as it’s connected. I have seen generic parts customers bring in they ordered themselves act up because of exposed conductive traces being shorted by the metallic body of the iPad which can usually be fixed by covering those traces with kapton tape. In most cases you can tell the quality of the digitizer by looking at the color of the traces. The higher quality digitizer tends to have smaller gold or copper colored traces and the lower quality digitizers have larger silver colored traces. If it still does not work without being attached to the base than it may not be the traces, possible defective part or could be the ultra-rare software issue, which I only bring up because you said the...
Meer informatieYou could still sell it for a small price on eBay, some shops and individuals buy them for parts. You may get a little bit more for it being in perfect condition. Some rich people ding up their phones and just want it to look new again. I’ve done a few body replacements before, with phones they bought on eBay.
