The battery drain is most likely a result of knocking something loose on the board. Its not uncommon to knock a filter or connector loose. I would take a good look at the battery connector, any filters near it (I don't remember any close on an ip6+ but don't trust my memory) and more importantly, around the digi and LCD connectors. I would bet money on a filter being knocked off. its much more likely than a screen draining power. If it were the screen, I would expect a hot phone as a result of a short.
Meer informatieThe first questions is: what do you need it for? The second is: do you really need it? If you just want something to play around with, any of the $40 Amazon digital ones are fine. If you want it for doing board level repairs, forget about seeing it on the screen. I have the Amscope SM4TZ with the camera. The camera is really only good for taking pics...not much else. It actually gets in the way more than it helps.
Meer informatieAlcohol is fine. Well...that actually depends on which form of alcohol you are talking. 99% IPA? Absolutely fine. 70% rubbing alcohol from the drug store? Should be OK but it will probably leave streaks from the high water content. Most of the people who say not to use alcohol have no idea what they are talking about and are just repeating what they think they have heard. You have to remember than an iPhone screen isn't an LCD on the outside. Its either Gorilla Glass or a knock off. Alcohol will evaporate way before it has a chance to chemically react with the glass. But even on a naked LCD without any glass, OCA or polarizer, 99% IPA is what I used to clean them with. With all that being said, I use Zeiss lens cleaner on the phones that I work on. Mostly because I don't want my customers opening up their new phone and being hit with a blast of alcohol. Instead it just smells clean. To sum it all up: use whatever you want. I've tried damaging screens with random chemicals because...well...I have issues....
Meer informatieReset it again. Make sure you SIM is in, doesn't matter if the SIM is active. Connect to wifi, then connect to your PC and iTunes. No idea why but some phones need the trifecta of SIM, wifi and iTunes to activate.

Meer informatieYou cannot buy an "Apple Original" display. Apple does not sell parts and does not authorize its suppliers to sell parts. Anything you buy that says "Apple Original" is from a sham company and should be avoided. You can however, find screens sold as OEM. These generally use the Apple LCD and glass similar to what Apple does. Its not true OEM but its close enough in most cases. But in reality, they are still high copy. So the reality is that it doesn't matter where you buy from, the parts are all knock offs. Buy from a reputable seller that stands behind their products. That's really the only difference.

Meer informatieits just water on the backlight. I don't know what everyone else is going on about. You can replace the display, but you can also replace the backlight.
