Make sure the screen brightness didn't get adjusted. If that is not the problem most likely its a defective LCD backlight and you will need to have it replaced again. Have your friend use the old screen to test this if it's posible.

Meer informatieHow do you know the screen is good? Have you performed any test yourself? I have gotten "supplier tested" screens that don't work. Also when did you do this screen swap. There have been reports of the replacement LCD failing to work with the new ios7. If there is a way test it with a screen you know works. Than you will know you have a faulty replacement screen. Also make sure you didn't pinch the ribbon cable when installing the replacement screen.

Meer informatieDepends on what quality of parts you are looking for. You can buy backs for as low as $6USD and as expensive as $30USD. The ifixit tutorials are great. But to replace the back glass you should just have to remove the two pentelobe screws and slide off the back. I know ifixit has liberation kits to get your back replaced.
