Differt methods of securing screen without adhesive tape.

I have been fixing a lot of iPods lately and have come to wonder if there is a product used to hold the screen in after I remove all the double sided tape. I am currently using the 3M 300LE double sided tape, but I am not really happy and was curious if they made a silicone or rubberized glue that is friendly to electronics? Any suggestions would be helpful.
