I had the same. I was stupid to forget the first step, removing the pentalobe screws. I think this caused it. I see no way how to remove the screen now.

I spent longer reassembling the back than the complete battery replacement! And this while it seems so simple. I kept trying to slide the backside into the original position, but this proved impossible in my case.

What I ended up doing was fitting the 2 screws at the bottom while the back was still not 100% in the correct position. By tightening these 2 screws, they “pulled” the backside into the correct position!
