For a small part like this, finding a correct part is definately important. I would suggest going to your local phone repair shop, where they will likely have the correct part. Also, they can double check it so you don't end up buying something that doesn't work. Good luck with this!

Perhaps there was some sort of damage to the circut board when you were taking apart the machine. When you power the machine on, are there any signs of life at this point? If so, I would suggest carefully opening the machine and double checking all of the connections are correct. If the problem persists, you could try contacting the manufacturer and seeing if they can provide more detailed support

If you don't have a proper screwdriver, or the screw is stripped, try using a screw extractor. This will ruin the screws, but perhaps you can replace it with another screw later...

It's possible with an old machine that the CPU could be overheating. Have you tried repasting the CPU with some fresh thermal paste?

Likely, the battery is having an issue. When it stops working, does the battery take the full time to charge? Otherwise it could be an overheating motor or something like that

Unforunately, when an appaliance repair person came (I hoped to simply replace the float switch) he explained that the power module was broken (as the link I posted for error code E05 suggested). Apparently codes E05 and E5 have different meanings: For anybody else with issues invloving a Bosch Dishwasher Error code for E5 is for the float switch which can be purchased here: https://www.reliableparts.com/product/in... Error Code E05 is for the power module which is difficult to replace and is usually very expensive (repair quote was $580 for a $900 dishwasher). The repair man did restart the system for me (https://howtofixit.net/bosch-dishwasher-error-codes-and-what-they-are-means) and then this dishwasher ran for 1 cycle and then subsequently died and I was not able to enter service mode. Likely this is a computer error, but since it will take around a week to get parts (and possibly have to replace other components as well) this dishwasher is going to be replaced...

If you have checked all the connections and the phone still does not turn on, try to charge it wirelessly. If it responds and charges, then perhaps the charging port you replaced the original with one that was broken. This is great, and you can just replace the charging port. If the phone does not respond or charge wirelessly then it is quite possible that it got harmed by ESD. Plastic tools help, but scewdrivers and hands can easily harm a device like this.
