About Me

I am the Director of Pre-College Programs and the University of Mississippi Writing Project. She also serves as a lecturer in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.

I earned a B.A. in English from Hendrix College, and an M.A. in English and an Ed.D. in Curriculum and Instruction from The University of Mississippi.  She is Nationally Board Certified in Adolescent/ Young Adult Language Arts and a 2003 winner of the Milken National Educator Award.

I also am working on my second doctorate at The University of Memphis.

Hobbies

In my spare time plays the cello, hang out with my husband and my cats (not in that order), read lots of books, and attempt gardening.
