Hi, my name is Joshua Lorenz, and I am currently enrolled at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University Daytona Beach as a Senior studying Aviation Maintenance Science with a focus on Business Management.

My interest growing up was always looking up in the sky at all of the planes flying over but also tinkering with anything that I could get my hands on. With these 2 interests, I discovered that becoming an aircraft mechanic was the best of both worlds. From this, I Have been at Embry Riddle Aeronautical University studying to become an aircraft technician. While I have been studying to become a technician I have also been working on my mom’s car from college which has become my project car which is a 1968 mustang. throughout the years of my years of college anytime I have been home I have been working on it and rebuilding and refurbishing any broken part that is reparable. Throughout the whole project so far I have discovered that watching something that has been neglected for years and bringing it back to its former glory is an honor to have to know ii did the hard work.

While I am back in college I am excited to create an Ifixit Guide for the HP Stream 11-y010nr Laptop. I have done maintenance on basic parts all the way up to complex parts the are vital for the proper function of a machine. I am really looking forward to working on this project not just because I am a mechanic but also because I have built multiple desktops before and never really tinkered with a laptop before.
