Excellent guide but perhaps the following reset method will solve some Solemate problems without having to disassemble it.

My Solemate would not charge correctly. It started charging but prematurely stopped charging. To fully charge the battery I needed to charge it 10-20 times. The battery held it’s charge for several weeks once fully charged, so I did not suspect that the battery needed replacing. So I searched internet for a solution.

I found this interesting answer from Jabra Support on BestBuys website.

Basically it describes how to reset your Solemate.

I tried it and immediately after reenabling the voice prompt was the battery reported as full instead of low!

So it seems to have reset some threshold value in the charging logic!

Crossing my fingers that it will correctly charge in one go next time I need to charge!

I wish I read Michael Zimmermann’s suggestion before I tore the first half into about 15 pieces! On the second half I used a hair dryer to heat the rubber. With enough heat and a very slow steady pull on the rubber it came of as a single piece :-)
