No plastic tab on the (then "new") battery (a sticker reads "Patona International" in Hilzingen Germany) that I installed in my MBP in 2022 - it stopped working in early 2024...
Easy enough to remove the faulty battery (would not charge for nearly a year now, despite numerous SMC- and NVRAM/PRAM resets).
Installing the new one (coconutBattery shows 7000 mAh as max design capacity) went fine, started charging (orange LED) within a couple seconds. Success!
Brilliant and to the point, great images, not easy to replace N8 dQ with a larger cap with (mostly) the same specs, but got it done, thanks to this Guide and a clip from dosdude1, now the Mid 2010 15” MacBook Pro has no kernel panics!
