Achtergrond en Identificatie
De belangrijkste identificatiefactor van de PS Vita is de tweede analoge stick en de tekst "PS Vita" onder het scherm.
De Vita werd uitgebracht in december 2011 in Japan en delen van Azië, en in februari 2012 in Europa, Australië, en Latijns- en Noord-Amerika. Het apparaat voegde indrukwekkende specificaties toe aan de eerder uitgebrachte versies van de PSP. Het beschikt over een 4-core ARM Cortex-A9 MPCore-processor, 512 MB RAM, 128 MB VRAM, een 5-inch OLED multi-touch capacitief touch screen, een capacitieve multi-touch touchpad aan de achterkant en een 4-core SGX543MP4+ grafische kaart.
