My wife dropped it (AGAIN!)

This time resulted in a long diagonal crack across the screen.

Mijn oplossing

Having a strong background in computer repair, I decided that this time I would replace the screen instead of spending 6X the parts cost on a repair shop doing the work. So, having examined the damage, I purchased the repair kit, read the repair guide 5 times and embarked on the Joyous experience of "iPad - Under the Hood".

Mijn advies

I fully recommend that before attempting this repair, walk through the guide at least twice, and reading the caution notes posted at the side.

Before attempting to remove the front glass, I would strongly recumbent the use of 2" clear tape to cover the cracked screen. This prevents the screen splitting while unsealing the glued rim of the iPad.
