Why is my screen black?

My PowerBook G4 12" fell (Face-down) then when I tried to boot up the screen is blank.

I don't hear the hard drive running like it used to; It's silent. But when I pushed the Caps Lock key, the light comes on.

What happened and how do I fix it?

This could be any number of things or a combination of issues. See if it will start up from your original system installation disk and an external monitor, keyboard and mouse to help diagnose it.
