1525 motherboard do you have one?
Battery will not charge. Replaced ac adapter, battery and still DC power board still not charging? 1545 is closet model to mine

ifixit does not have a motherboard for a Dell Inspiron 1525.
Have you checked whether the DC-In jack is OK and that is not loose from the DC power board or is internally faulty?

This shows how to remove the board so that you can visually check if the DC-In jack is loose from the board or test the DC-In jack with an Ohmmeter to prove whether the jack is OK or not.
If it is just loose you’ll have to re-solder it back on.
If the jack is faulty, replacement boards are available online.
