Hi Thomas,
If you look under panels, probably somewhere around the control panel, you may find printed service information that is frequently included with major appliances. If you find one it will have a wiring diagram that should tell you what wire goes where.
There was one other question in this device category from someone with a wiring problem who posted their wiring diagram. If you have the same model number, then this diagram should apply to your oven as well. Here's a copy of it.
Let us know if you need help reading it, but in general electric burners don't have a polarity; in other words it doesn't matter which wire goes to which terminal.
Update:
As @jayeff pointed out, the wiring diagram is apparently not for the same model as appears in this device category, so it may not match your oven. It could be similar, but if you can locate your own service information that would be best.

If you have a 970-6784* series model range oven, then according to the cover sheet of the parts catalogue for the series, the service data sheet is p/n 316458450.
Unfortunately, I cannot find a free download online, but at least you can still purchase it at a few places - see p/n link above.
Perhaps check inside behind the control panel to see if it is located there.
Note: As acknowledged by a comment in the answer to a question regarding the model listed above, the OP of the question stated that they had a different model number oven to the one selected by them as the device, and the service data sheet image for it i.e. p/n 316904412 rev. B was the one that was posted, so it may not be applicable to your model.
