Network Not Working even after Reset

I have tried all the troubleshooting ways to try and fix my wifi and bluetooth without touching my phone. I wanted to know where in the phone is the network module so I can buy a replacement and fix it. If anyone knows which part that is and where its located in the phone, I would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advanced!

Update (02/22/24)

It says Model Name is SM-N986U1

Hi @kmantilla,

What is the model number of the phone?

@kmantilla it will help if you can tell exactly what "troubleshooting ways" you tried and what you mean by "try and fix my wifi and bluetooth without touching my phone."

Sure sorry about not being more detailed in my response. So for troubleshooting I tried all of the common ones which was restarting the phone, restarting the network/accessibility setting in the reset menu, also turning on and off airplane mode, and any other ones that are easy to that I tried doing online. Once that didn’t work I did factory reset the phone and that still didn’t do anything in terms of trying to fix my problem. For your second comment about me trying to fix my phone without touching it, was about me physically not opening the phone itself. I wanted to try all the options until it lead to that. I hope this answers your question!

@kmantilla yes it does. Thank you. I do believe that at this point you have exhausted whatever you can do without opening it. It appears that it might be time to look at the hardware.....

@kmantilla

Just clarifying is the WiFi/BT turning on but not detecting WiFi networks or BT devices to pair with or is the WiFi/BT not turning on at all when you try to turn it on i.e. greyed out?

If turning on but not detecting try using the phone as close as possible to the WiFi router or BT device e.g. <10cm and check if it detects and also connects/pairs etc.

Has the phone been dropped or gotten wet at all?

Hi @kmantilla

If it still no good after a factory reset then it seems to be a hardware problem.

You could try testing the WiFi using the test codes (see *#2683662# - Advanced Service Mode) to check if it is OK or not and that it may still just be a software problem (reinstall the firmware?), but if it still no good, then you may have to open the phone and do board level troubleshooting using the service manual¹

¹ The service manual supplier link is an example only, there are others that may suit you better. Also I couldn't find a free download online. You may have better luck.
