My iPod isn't charging or responding to Itunes
I think it is a problem with the logic board, where you plug in the cable to the ipod it looks a little beat

dtomas, follow the advice given by Roshan first, if that does not help, and if you are certain your dock connector is "beat", it might be time to replace it. You have to remove the logic board and then desoldering the 30 pin connector, also desolder the 2 side anchor points. After that you resolder a new connector. This is not an easy job and will require sound soldering skills and proper tools. Take a look at this video and see if it is something that you would try. Hope this helps, good luck.

Yes, we have tried 3 different cables.
