Why is my laptop not turning on?
My laptop shows 3 slow blinks and 5 fast blinks and will not display anything. If this is a problem with the processor, what are my options?

The "3.5 code" or 3 slow blinks and 5 fast blinks indicates a potential CPU/motherboard failure.
Probably best to remove hard drive, for your data, and send laptop to HP for repair.

This video shows how to replace components. Unfortunately, these days CPU's are usually soldered in place.
