Logitech z906 no power

Hi, my z906 was playing at low stable volume today and it just randomly cut out power and isn't powering on, there wasn't any smell whatsoever
I'm no expert in repair but feel pretty handy so want to try if i can repair my trusty Logitech Z906 here first before doing anything.
I cracked it open and tried to look for any marks of something blowing and found the following (see pictures)

Can someone point me if its repairable and if I should even bother or just get a new set?

Hi mate, the Component that is burned need to be de soldered and a new one put in its place,

Once the Component has been removed check that you don't have a short to ground.

Otherwise when you power it up after replacing the Component it will just pop again.

If you have the equipment such as a soldering station etc then very easy fix.

Hi mate just from looking at the picture alone I am unable to tell you what component goes there and to what value the Component must be.

I am not that sure can you find a schematic for the device online maybe able to tell component from that.

@dmmyd see if you can post a large clear picture of the circuit board. Yes, you do have corrosion damage and looks like a couple of coils are toast. Possibly even the IC right besides it. There should be some sort of PCB number on it. Let's see if we can identify this for you via a schematic or a spare board.

Ok so looks like this beast is well known for a bad power supply and schematics are not available. How ever it appears that you will need a power supply that produces 46V 12V and 5V. If you are willing, ready and able you could consider fitting a different power supply. There will be tinkering involved so make sure you want to go that route.
