The very first thing you want to do is to not use the phone. DO not try to turn it on, sync it, charge it etc. Remove the battery as soon as possible from the phone to minimize further damage. After that completely disassemble your phone by using these guides. Using 90%+ isopropyl alcohol, clean your phone by following this guide. It was written for an iPhone but all the points are still pertinent to your phone as well. You must remove the EMI shields from this board. You can either desolder them or use some sharp scissors to simply cut them off. Careful so you do not break any of the components underneath those shields. Once it is properly cleaned, replace the battery and reassemble your phone. Only then can you properly troubleshoot.
