front brakes for my 2002 ford escape

My driver side caliper won't go on or line up correctly without pushing rotor out. When I forced it on and put tire back on it locks wheel up. Can anyone help please

@pokerbill this"new rotor and pads are making a large gap were caliper volts go in" would be of concern to me. Have you made sure that the rotor is properly seated, that it is the right rotor and that everything is properly mounted? There should be no greater gap than there was before. Also, how did you damage the old rotor to the point of it actually braking off pieces? Post some images of your break setup and how the rotor was mounted etc. Use Voeg afbeeldingen toe aan een bestaande vraag this guide for that. Just to make sure, it is a 2WD drive?

@pokerbill ,Bill, Do you have the correct parts, compare to the other side. Below are a couple clear video's to show how to replace front brakes, the 1st video clearly shows step by steps to take to make it pretty much fool proof. Good luck. I hope this helped you out, if so let me know by pressing the helpful button.

This is not the first time doing breaks but yes I have correct parts the passenger side went on just fine with no problems. The driver side has real uneven and bad ware on it and tire rotor up even broke piece off rotor. Now new rotor and pads are making a large gap were caliper volts go in

And when I tighten volts it pushes other side of rotor out.

Are the slides all lubed up and moving freely in the caliper(sound like slides on caliper are seized), you are using the correct bolts(not too long).

In not sure if something is bent or out of wack, all I know is lately when we turn right you can hear a grinding sound even worse when wheel is turned to right and you are backing up. Any ideas what could be causing this? Please help my truck is now stuck in a friends driveway and I need to get out asap.

Slides are moving freely as far as I could tell
