Try turning back the clock.
Usually on Symbian devices, you can reinstall/restore most old apps by reverting the phones date and time to before the date its certificates expired.

use your N8 phone's user guide. hold on the WLAN connection name and select " start web browsing" from two options that show and websites will start opening.

My phone connects to home Wi-Fi and will call up websites but when I try to open a website the phone says: Browser unable to connect to website. Also, the phone won't send SMS.

Hi, I don't think it is possible. I tried several tricks but nothing has worked so far. It is highly unfair but they made sure to really end it for certain devices. It is like blackmailing people to buy a new one, which I am not doing. I still use my N8 since it is in good shape - without Whatsapp! There are alternatives to it. The problem is you have to convince your friends.
For anyone who reads this: Has anybody found a way to get Whatsapp running on the N8?
