My phone does not charge, either I plug it to wall or computer or any outlet, i tried a different charger at friends house, still nothing happens. The sound does not work either, I tried everything I could think of and rebboted still nothing, any ideas? i had to get new iphone but all my info is on the old one :( help!

sounds like a battery and or a dock problem. check dock is clean-after all this time there may be a build up of dirt and dust in there-use a toothpick to gently remove anything. if you're not interested in keeping iphone or repairing it then try connecting to wall charger and sending info via bluetooth.
