Screw size guide or chart?

Does anyone have any information on the screw sizes on the iPhone 6. Particularly the 5 screws that hold the lcd, digitzer, home button and speaker flex metal bracket/plate down. Going back to the iPhone 5 I remember that using the wrong screw size can lead to damaging the motherboard. Sometimes the screws can get muddled up for whatever reason so I'd like to be sure I always use the correct screws when replacing screens etc. Any help on this would be very appreciated. Thanks

craigad24, just use the guides like this one. Each step will have the screw size listed in it.

Who can tell the difference in 1.2 and 1.7 mm? PLEASE SOMEONE WITH PICTURES THAT WE CAN PRINT OUT! And while you are at it make a printable map for each. One of you has it done already. Even if they weren't life size pictures of the screws comparing them would help! I don't care if you tech dudes think I'm an idiot, I am when it comes to this. (at least I can skateboard!)

I don't think anybody on here thinks you are an idiot. You are right, a difference of a mere 0.5 mm is hard to spot by eye. I would use an inexpensive set of calipers for that. Sometimes you can spot the difference by comparing the screws side by side.

my husband has a caliper that i used to measure the screws....you just have to find a site that has the right screw size

door

Eyeball both of the screw's and take a guess which you think is the longer one. Then verify your visual by getting a small cheap level from the dollar store. Stand both screws up. Put the level on top of the screw's. That should tell you which is the taller of the two. Flip the level left to right and up and down to make sure. Just an inexpensive idea that should/might work for $1.

I measured these using a digital caliber. This is off of an iPhone 6, 4.7screen. I measured the entire screw length. The measurement is for the entire screw length

Thanks! Putting them side by side with a magnifying glass I could guess 1.32 v 1.34.

could you guide me on actually how to use the digital calipers on screws , i gave up and bought the caliper just for this project

A good video would be https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oJy8S6r2.... Be sure to turn on the caliper closed, that way it calibrates properly.

The screw was measured by placing in the caliper as shown in picture.[image|1139208]
