Gekozen oplossing

I found a better solution, with this two simple steps:

1. I got this 20$ aux adapter off ebay.

2. installed it like this youtube video.

and it works!

the volume is a bit lower than the radio but the sound quality is great.

Hey Chen!

What year Corolla do you have? To my knowledge, all Corollas after 2009 have AUX inputs. If your Corolla doesn't have one, the easiest way to add one would be to install a stereo that has a AUX input.

Add a radio with an AUX input. Are you serious? Surely that is so obvious yet expensive option that it is note worth stating here!

It might be more helpful to point out how to get an AUX signal into the orginal radio since Corollas are usually fitted with one. Many Corolla radios have a port on the back for connection of a CD stacker. You don't need the stacker, just the port on the back. This can be used to inject an AUX signal. You can buy adapters to do this on eBay!

Hi, Peter this is a good point.

What is the name of this port? And how can I find it?

My Corolla Sun is from 2009 do you think it have this port?

door

The port that I was referring to is for connecting a CD stacker. Apparently even basic factory CD players in old Toyotas have this port to connect an optional CD stacker even if there is no stacker fitted. This was more common for earlier Corollas before 2009. I don't know anything about the 2009 models.

The port is a couple of cm across and has 7 pins. Unfortunately there at least 2 different models, so you have to ba careful to order the right one.

This is all that I know because most of my info comes from ebay. Just search for connecting ipod to car audio with AUX input. Good luck.

I would like to suggest another solution.

Try an FM transmitter.

https://www.amazon.com/Nulaxy-Wireless-B...

Connect to the above device using your phone's bluetooth.

The above device should then be set to an FM radio station where there is no music normally on the radio.

Tune the radio to this channel, and you will be able to hear music wirelessly.

this is what i did. it is cheap and simple and you don't have to pull out the radio or add anything.

An fm transmitter with bluetooth would be nice but sometimes you hear static or popping sounds.
