@dhiyasaed yes, you can repair it yourself, if you have the tools and the skills to desolder the old port and re-solder a new port. It is not difficult but you don't ever want to practice on a device that you still want to use. If you have never done this, remove the motherboard and take it to somebody who has dont some soldering. Check with your friends or in your neighborhood for any repairer.
