Titel:

How to "fix" broken keyboard backlight ribbon cable port?

Tekst:

I have a macbook pro mid 2010, 2.4 GHz A1278 model and I recently opened it to clean because of a liquid spill. Luckily the liquid did not go in deeply that after I cleaned the inside parts it's working perfectly except for the keyboard backlight stopped working. Pressing keys F5 and F6 shows the backlight level on the screen but nothing really happens. And i realised that the keyboard backlight ribbon cable port, on the logic board, is broken( only the tiny clipper part that locks the cable).
My question is is there any simpler way to fix this other than replacing the logic board for the backlight to work? Any suggestion would be appreciated.

+Hi Sterling,
+here is the actual picture of the part that's missing, Its the small plastic part that holds the keyboard backlight cable in place. difficult to get a good resolution picture with a ordinary camera but i tried my best.
