Then, follow the instructions from this section: Long version (see above screenshots for a shorter, more concise version with less explanation): I just did this two days ago and it worked flawlessly. As he stated, use an USB cable [ you cannot run the firmware "downgrade" over the network as the software obtains the firmware version from the printer and will not allow a "downgrade" whereas the USB connection does not return the firmware version as you are putting the printer into a service/maintenance mode (and I'll assume they did this to allow techs to "downgrade") ] to connect your printer to your computer and after you apply the older firmware, walk away for at least 15 mins or longer, untill your printer is flashing like a Christmas tree (yes, it actually does this): that is when the firmware has been applied.
