Please help.... same issue here but I can't afford to pay for $800+ professional fixing after already paying $500 for the replacement screen..... won't turn on backlight/screen/touchbar, and I even replaced the SMC ribbon cable :'(
I did all the steps, and now not only will the screen not turn on, but also the keyboard backlight and the touch bar won't turn on :( occasionally I can get the machine to display to an external monitor and it seems to be in some sort of recovery mode/safe mode, looking for a boot machine. How on earth do I fix this?
