Hi, my name is Pedro Avila. I am a sophomore at Cal State LA and majoring in mechanical engineering. I am still figuring out what I really want to do with my major, because of how many options I have for the future. In general I want to make a positive impact around the world, help develop machines that use our environment with out having to destroy it.

One thing that I'd like to get into is fixing cars. Throughout my life, my family has struggled with cars. Wether it's them braking down or some parts just not working. It's a goal of mine to be able to fix my mom's car with out having her spend some much at a mechanic shop.

On the side I like make costumes, I did it since I was in elementary and it's a favorite pass time of mines. I also

Learning to fix things and being able to make a step by step manual so that other can fix their products help me out in the long run. I have to get used to working with others, I have to be able to give clear instructions, in general working on a project like this allows me to get a better understanding of what it is to be a mechanical engineer working alongside others.

As for fun facts, I have 3 backyard chickens, a cat, and 2 bunnies. I love animals.
