This is a very useful guide. If you dismantle your Bamix to this level then it’s worth taking the shaft apart as well, as these can build up a lot of corrosion inside too.

If your Bamix squawks when you turn it on then the shaft needs cleaning.

I find it’s easier to dismantle the shaft by removing the small pin, rather than unscrewing the rubber clutch block which often gets stuck.

The T430s service manual states to change the CMOS:

1. Remove battery pack - you’ll find a screw with the k/b symbol there (remove)

2. Remove small rear panel to access and remove another screw holding back of k/b (remove)

3. Remove keyboard- which allows CMOS to be disconnected.
