Exactly the same. I had it sitting on the shelf for a year. It had fresh batteries in it that I put in a year ago and I took 20 pictures. It was in a cool dry place for the 11 months it was sitting. I took out the old empty cartridge, put in a brand new film cartridge, turned it on. When I pushed the button to take a picture, all the little orange lights flashed. No picture. I tried double checking to see if the film was put it wrong. No, it is put in perfectly--yellow bars lined up perfectly. WHAT IS GOING ON????!
