I started having issues with my R today. It was for some reason only having a 1% success rate on registering clicks dispite the console being in pristine condition. Had to take off the back panel and remove the R button. I then spritz'd it a few times with isopropyl alcohol till the surface of the switch was well dosed. Then sopped it up and clicked the switch about a dozen times with a cotton swab to clean it up. It appears to be working after that thorough cleaning. My electric air duster did nothing to remedy it. It's best to take it apart with the guide. You only need a small Philips head and a plastic pick or thin card for the disassembly.
