Well this happened to me when I was repairing a customer's phone. I have done about 10 iphone 5s and countless 4s and 3s. I am a repair guy. What happened ... first the phone went together and turned on fine after replacing the screen but when I tested it the proximity sensor wasn't working. I opened it back up and fixed this but noticed when I put it back the lcd connector on the new sreen had a slight curve to it. I put it on and the proximity sensor worked but the screen was flickering so I tried connecting it and reconnecting it but it still flickered. I tried a soft reset (holding the sleep/power button and the home button till the phone shuts down, continuing holding button, till apple sign comes on then release both buttons). It then went to DFU mode, when restarting the phone apple logo comes on and at the top of the screen you will see some text at the top of the phone, and then the dredded red screen. I put on a new screen and it still was stuck tried several resets, plugged into to itunes no...
Meer informatieConnector 3 is more then just an earpiece. it has eight connections all with varying functions. One of my last 3g repairs I replaced a cracked screen and then got no screen even though it worked before, replaced the LCD thinking it went bad when I took the shattered screen off. Lots of glass and dirt was in the phone. Then finally I replaced the frame too. It had gotten quite warped and lots of glass and dust in it. The frame is connector three. It then worked fine. So there are many reasons for a white screen and a bad connection is the most popular, including a bad screen. If you can return it that is worth trying or like I said the best way to diagnose the phone is use a working phone and swap out the screen assembly LCD and all in a working phone. Easy to do. If the screen works on the other phone then you have a problem with your Board or with the connectors.
Meer informatieFirst make sure you didnt damage connector number 3. You may need a microscope to tell. Very delicate. That is usually the white screen. If you want to clean the connectors 1 and 2 both on the board and on the connectors use a toothbrush with rubbing alcohol. Do so firmly but gently. Put it back together if all looks good and then you can try it again. Try to reset it hold power button then home button. Hold till you see an apple. Make sure it is charged leave on charger for a few hours. If your connector 3 is broken or damage but you can the cable in there try some captains (heat resistance tape) to hold in place or get the Connector 3 replaced. Also you may have a bad screen. If you have friend that trust you you can try parts on their phone. Be careful if you damage your board your phone is good for about $10 worth of parts. If this is too much try I phone fix. 2967 Michelson Dr. Irvine Ca. 949/975-1231. Working out of Xpress Mailboxes. Good Luck
Meer informatieI have had it too. It must be the screens actually I had two out of four. I tried everything I could including putting the screen on a phone that worked. No fix for front camera but I can tell you how to unlock it. Go to setting/general/reset (scroll to bottom)/reset all settings. It will ask for confirmation. After I did this the back camera will worked, but if I try the front it locks up, this affects facetime as well. Note this only changes settings like background, ringtones, etc. does not effect data and pretty quick to do.
Meer informatieI had the same problem and am not sure if it is the screens or what? When I try and use the front camera it locks up the camera program. I can tell you if you go to settings then General then to bottom of screen hit Reset then hit Reset all. It will ask for confirmation hit yes. This unlocks the camera and the back camera works but the front locks it up again when I try and switch to it, then I have to reset it again. I replaced the cameras tried the screens on different phones and still same problem. Note this will only change your settings like background, ringtone etc. Not your data. easier then a restore, which did not work.
