Hi there Erskine, Can you take a stick of RAM out and boot it, Then... press command+option+R+P and hold until beeping occurs, on the third bong sound release the buttons and let it boot. Hopefully this resets it enough to help you move on, after you have done what you need to replace the RAM.
Meer informatieHi Alan, There are no USB3 ports on the model you have, so the data connection would default to a USB 2.0 standard, this happens as when we plug a USB 2.0 hub into a a USB 3.0 ported Mac/PC too, it defaults to USB 2.0 because the one link in the chain is slow and bottlenecks the others. If you need some speed!! I would see if you have another machine on the network, and can copy over the Gigabit ethernet, from that iMac to another machine or NAS that you could copy the files off faster,(something with USB 3.0 or so on…) sounds like a mission but for huge files and editing projects, should save you a ton of time. Hope This Helps

Meer informatieThe PS4 pro uses a 100-240v power supply, so pretty much all wall socket power should be good. Find a plug that fits your outlet and wire it to a connect for the PS4s power. As long as you make are the cable is good, and won’t short for any unexplicable reason, you will be good. Just so you can read yourself, I linked the user manual pdf below so that you can be sure. Check the first box of stats… Happy gaming. PS4 manual pdf link https://manuals.playstation.net/document...-7215B-5.5_4.pdf
Meer informatieHey Papa, Can you open and close the lid, see if that improves or degrades the image? I would think that you may need to replace the J-tag on the board, or the screen connector cable. If the screen is at some point able to display a good picture(looks perfect), the the screen and board are both good, you just need a replacement cable, or connector resoldered. These are both common faults on the model of Mac. Please look below and see if you qualify for repair from Apple themselves first. https://www.apple.com/support/13-inch-macbook-pro-display-backlight-service/ Otherwise, Are you keen to open the device yourself?
Meer informatieHi Piipperi, The worry with the home buttons is that the tolerance between the components is very small. A single big enough piece of sand can lodge its self between components and work its way into the device slowly cover on or cover off… It sounds like debris of some sort is stuck in the home button assembly. (as you say) Not easy to get out without a disassembly I am afraid. Especially if it’s not sand or something soft, it could do more damage. Metal shaving and fillings don’t break up like sand does, I know that I have crushed a few pieces myself the last 2 years on my iPhone 6s. Besides compressed or canned air blasted into the button, (Clean air, or more problems..) The alcohol sometimes works, but it all depends on what the debris is made of. This can be hit or miss. Maybe a little bit of cringy button pressing? (I know what I asking but I have a 2017 MBP with the bad keyboard) You may be able work it out of assembly, or (the not so likely) or it will eventually work its way into the housing, to...
Meer informatieKnowing where the issue is might solve this problem before you need to change the slot. It may be as easy as bending pins back in place or retouching a soldering joint, to troubleshooting dead components and IC’s on the board. Short to GND or dead components can be test for. Checking the card connectors pins are connected to the board is also important, you just need a multimeter, and a youtube video teaching you to use one… This is one of the best… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lo8MWr3N... If you feel confidant you won’t hurt or break it while opening it up, maybe its easy to identify and easy to fix… Good Luck! Desoldering itself is not that hard, following some key steps and having some tools… If you are willing to try, look at this… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VLBiPnmo... Should boost your confidence a little… Youtube has many tutorials on it if you are keen to learn. But if you have never done so and are willing to pay, looking to a tradesman to help you would be a good idea. Google around or...
